Poet and musician Sherry Cook Stanforth grew up in Clermont County, Ohio, and earned a Ph.D. in English at the University of Cincinnati. She is a professor of fiction, poetry, environmental and ethnic literatures, and folklore at Thomas More College. She performs regionally in two bands: Tellico, a 3-generation family band, and Sunset Dawn. In celebration of "Drone String," her first volume of poetry, Stanforth appeared at UC Blue Ash College's 2016 Poetry Cafe event to read, perform and talk with UCBA English professor Rhonda Pettit.
