Inclusion With Intent in Health Care Speaker Series #3
Date Created:
Subject:Health Care
Research shows that gaps in patient care can occur when there is a lack of diversity or inclusion in the health care professionals who care for diverse patients. As the U.S. continues to evolve into a majority-minority nation by 2043, those of us who have a role in increasing the inclusive attitudes of health care professionals should take special note of the opportunities so we may be part of facilitating a change. In this series, speakers with professional expertise explore major diversity and inclusion issues and how they impact health care. Deepening the understanding of such health care disparities among health care professionals will set the stage for improved health care in the U.S.
The series is presented by the Departments of Allied Health and Dental Hygiene at UC Blue Ash College, with support from the President's Diversity Council.
Chuck Mingo, pastor of Crossroads Church in Oakley, presents on the impact of religion and spirituality in health care.
