Barry Estabrook, author of the book "Tomatoland: How Modern Industrial Agriculture Destroyed Our Most Alluring Fruit," spoke during Arts & Humanities Month at UC Blue Ash College. A two-time winner of the James Beard Foundation Award for food writing, Estabrook's study of how tomatoes are grown and harvested in Florida reveals how interwoven our food can be with a range of places, people and issues. Estabrook's story also describes the impact that college students can have on bringing about change.
